Farmer’s market is open for fall season

ector of Agriculture, Northeast The okra is still blooming at NTCC Eagle Ranch. Although the last month of August was hot and dry as expected, we are receiving the much needed rain today that will keep the okra blooming well into fall. Thanks in part to the efforts of the work scholarship students this summer, we will have several jars of pickles, pickled okra, and relish to bring to market. Come join us to end out the 2014 NTCC Farmer’s Market Season on a strong note.Now is the time to start planting for a great fall garden. Great fall plants include: greens, spinach, carrots, winter squash, herbs, broccoli, cabbage, kale, and others that will do well here.
