NTCC men’s soccer climbs the ranks to fifth in the nation

The Northeast Texas Community College (NTCC) Men’s Eagles Soccer team remains undefeated with a record of 6-0 after knocking off both Coastal Bend College and Laredo Community College this past week. The Eagles are ranked fifth overall in the nation according to this week’s NJCAA National Poll. Coastal Bend scored their first and only goal against the Eagles 26 minutes into Friday’s game. Rimario Gordon tied the score with an assist by Sergio Cavazos seven minutes later. Gordon again put a point on the board 55 minutes into the second half assisted by Yannick Koffi, with the team adding 4 more points by the end of the game. Koffi scored the final goal assisted by Jake Winship to give the Eagles a 6-1 victory.
