From the Editor
Change is inevitable. It is what drives communities and other aspects of our lives to grow. Growing up in Ore City, my family frequented this area on several occasions throughout the years. Driving in from Longview the other morning, I remembered the aroma of freshly popped popcorn from Morris Twin Cinema, the laughter of a family barbeque at the Daingerfield State Park and remembering trips to Hughes Springs for monthly haircuts. Those memories made me feel at home and this community is part of them. It never crossed my mind that I would have the chance to become the editor of a newspaper. That day has finally arrived, and I am grateful to the powers that be for this magnificent opportunity. I recently had the opportunity to speak with the Director of the Eddie Connor Museum, Pat Connor.
