Mustangs stomp Bulldogs 65-28

Mustang football's real season kicked off last Friday, with the Queen City Bulldogs coming to town.  Electricity was all over town about the match up, and Fred Hopkins Jr. was himself electric, taking the opening kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown, and with less than 14 seconds rolled off the clock, Hughes Springs was up 6-0.  The defense was next up and made quick work of the Bulldog offense, twice stopping them 3 and outs on consecutive possessions.  The Mustangs first chance to touch the ball on offense, Malik Chism romped 80 yards for a touchdown, and with a 2-point conversion by Hunter Smith, put Hughes springs up fast 14-0. Read more in our e-edition:http://www.etypeservices.com/SWF/LocalUser/Daingerfield1//Magazine37449/...
