Jonell McDonald 
Funeral services for Jonell McDonals, 73, of Ore City, were held Nov. 7 at the chapel of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Ore City. 
Jonell was born Nov. 30, 1940 and passed away Nov. 3, 2014.

 
Mary Helen Adams 
Funeral services for Mary Helen Adams, 87, of Hughes Springs, were held Nov. 5 at Hughes Springs Missionary Baptist Church. Burial followed under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. 
Mrs. Adams was born Aug. 23, 1927 and passed away Nov. 3, 2014.
 
Rita Price 
Mrs. Rita A. Price, 79, of Ore City, passed away Nov. 3, 2014. There are no services scheduled at this time. 
 
Ronald Vaughn
Services for Ronald Vaughn, 64, of Hughes Springs, are pending with Reeder-Davis Funeral Home of Hughes Springs. Mr. Vaughn was born Jan. 7, 1950 and passed away Nov. 6, 2014.
 
"Toby" Drake

ALBA – A Celebraton of Life service for Ollie William “Toby” Drake, 52, of Forney, was held  Nov. 2, 2014, at 2 p.m. at the Rockwall and Brin Church of Christ in Terrell. The service was conducted by his family. The eulogy was by Dr. Jim Russell, his three sons shared memories, and the message was by Regan Walters. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba. 

 Mr. Drake passed away  Oct. 31, 2014, in a Dallas hospital.

He was born Feb. 19, 1962, in Greenville, to Ollie Vernon and Dolores Jean Hinton Drake. He spent his early years in Lenard and Daingerfield. He married Leona Dawn Lennon December 22, 1984, in Mineola. He taught school six years in Hillsboro, six years in Whitney, five years in Hughes Springs, one year in Edgewood, and eight years in Terrell.

He was preceded in death by his father, and son, Kaleb.

He is survived by his wife, Dawn Drake, Forney; mother, Dolores Drake, Tyler; sons, Kevin William Drake, Dallas, Quinncy Dale Drake, Edmond, Okla., Colten Sean Drake, Forney; brother, James Walter Drake and wife Tracy, Tyler; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Roger and Mary Virginia Lennon, Mineola; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Leah Lennon Russell and husband Dr. William “Jim” Russell, Navasota; nephew, Dr. Derek Russell and wife Rachel, Hoover, Ala.; nieces, Krista Russell Cone and husband Alex, Brooklyn, N.Y., and Courtney Dawn Russell, Navasota, Texas; and 6 great nieces.

Loyce Jarret 

 Mr. Jarrett was born Feb. 22, 1924 in Upshur County and passed away Nov. 8, 2014 in Longview. He retired as an Electrical Switchboard Operator at Lone Star Steel after 40 years and served in the US Army WWII and was awarded two Purple Hearts.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two wives Dorothy Wood Jarrett and Billie Brown Jarrett; a brother Robert Jarrett and a twin sister Floyce Jarrett.

He is survived by a daughter Dorothy Jean Jarrett Cotham of Granbury; and a son and daughter-in-law Tony Wayne and Andrea Jarrett of Daingerfield; six grandchildren Shana Passaro, Brad and Lora Jarrett, Ben Jarrett, Heath and Trish Jarrett, Jarrett Cotham and Zach and Christina Cotham; and eight great grandchildren.

The Family received friends Monday evening at the funeral home in Hughes Springs.

Elizabeth Freeman 



Funeral Services for Elizabeth Phillips Kimberlin Freeman, 90, of Hughes Springs, were held at 2 p.m. on Monday at the Hughes Springs Church of Christ with Jeffrey Bethard and Gary Stewart officiating. Interment will follow in Springhill Cemetery in Rocky Branch. Mrs. Freeman was born April 6, 1924 in Cason, Texas and passed away Nov. 7, 2014 in Hughes Springs surrounded by her family. She owned and operated Elizbeth's Beauty Salon for many years. She was a longtime member of Hughes Springs Church of Christ.



 Mrs. Freeman is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Emily and Ben Janca of Hughes Springs and Wanda and Wayne Bethard of Longview; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert Dugan and Judy Freeman of Longview and Danny Freeman and Penny Watson of Pasadena; 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; a sister, Iva Lou Duncan of Hughes Springs, two sisters-in-law, and numerous nieces of nephews.



 She was preceded in death by two husbands, Dewey Kimberlin and Morris "MC" Freeman; parents, Thomas and Emily Nance Phillip; and three brothers
