Rebels defeat Hawkins 49-22

The crowd cheered and fireworks flew as the Ore City Rebels took on the Hawkins Hawks this past Friday at Rebel Stadium defeating the Hawks 49-22.
With Ore City receiving first possession of the ball, Rebels QB Colton Allshouse, handed off the ball to RB Demontrae Neal, who combine for 48 yards setting them up for a first and goal allowing Allshouse to connect with WR Nick Hughes, for a touchdown with 9:14 still left to play on the clock. As hard as the Hawks tried, they were unable to get past the Rebels defense forcing them to punt. After gaining possession, Neal rushed for 46 yards setting them up for another first and goal letting Allshouse rush in for another Rebels touchdown followed by a successful 2-point conversion making the score 14-0 at the end of the first quarter.
At the start of the second quarter, Allshouse and Neal, combined for 37 yards scoring another Rebels touchdown. The Hawks continued to fight their way down the field but with little success. The Rebels were putting everything they had into holding the Hawks offense back but with 1:01 left to play in the first half, Hawks RB Lavon Davis, managed to slip by the Rebels defense and rush in for a touchdown followed by a spectacular 2-point conversion pass thrown by QB Emery King, setting the score to 21-8 and ending the first half.
