The Daingerfield City Council granted one final extension to Mario Alvarado, of Longview, to try and sale a structure he owns in the 200 Block of Wills Dr. in Daingerfield. The council made this decision Nov. 10 at their monthly meeting.

If the structure is not sold within the 30 day extension, the city will deem the building substandard and it will be torn down.

The council also voted to not hire an interim city manager. That item had been tabled in the Oct. 13 meeting.

The city has received nine applications after the council also approved advertising for the city manager position in last month's meeting. The positon was left vacant when former city manager, Carl Teel resigned in September due to family obligations.
