The Daingerfield-Lone Star ISD Board of Trustees approved several agenda items last week on Nov. 17.
From those items, the board approved a contract with Richard McDonald of Sports Design in McKinney, on replacing the district's football field and track.
According to Superintendent Sandra Quarles, the decision has not been made yet as to if the field will be an astro-turf one or not.
Principals from all three campuses also presented their improvement plans for each campus, which were approved by the board.
The plans include measures that will help educators improve instruction and performance on Texas' mandated STAAR testing each year.
Quarles said those plans include reading and math interventionists as well as incentives for students' grades, attendance and behavior.
Quarles also presented her report to the board which consisted of updates on several projects around the district.
