Santa coming to Avinger
Santa is coming to town, in Avinger that is. Santa will be in Avinger on Dec. 20 at 2 p.m. at the Avinger United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. Children from infants through sixth grade are invited to come and visit with Santa. Each child will receive one free photo with Santa.
New Year's Eve Dance
The Legacy in Hughes Springs will be hosting a New Year's Eve Dance Dec. 31 from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. Tickets are sold in advance at City Hall. Pre-event ticket sales guarantee seating. There will be finger foods during the dance and traditional peas, cabbage and cornbread will be served after midnight. Alcohol is permitted, set-ups provided, BYO. Jazz by Bryan and Cathey will be in attendance for entertainment.
2014 Christmas Lighting Contest
Have your deocrations glowing by Dec. 15 if would like to be included in the Christmas decorating contest within the Daingerfield city limits. Categories will include best door, best home, best business and best area. Trophies will be awarded. Contact the Daingerfield Chamber of Commerce for questions at 903.645.2646.
