Services for George Sluss, 67, of Hughes Springs, were held Dec. 18, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Mockingbird Hill Cemetery. Mr. Sluss was born Nov. 28, 1947 and passed away Dec. 16, 2014.
Pate
Services for Modena Pate, 74, of Linden, are pending with Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden. Ms. Pate was born on May 5, 1940 and passed away Dec. 14, 2014 in Linden.
Harty
Graveside services for Melba Harty, 84, of Linden, were held Dec. 17, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Marietta. Ms. Harty was born Sept. 10, 1930 and passed away Dec. 14, 2014.
Wommack
A memorial service for Bobby Carol Wommack, 61, of Naples, was held Dec. 19, 2014 at Harrison Funeral Chapel. Mr. Wommack was born on Feb. 16, 1953 and passed away Dec. 10, 2011.
Jennings
Funeral services for Helen Marie Jennings, 83 of Daingerfield were held at 1p.m. Dec. 19, 2014 at the First Baptist Church with Bro. Don Ross officiating. Burial will be in the Old Union Cemetery in Simms. Arrangements are under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home.
Helen was born Nov. 3, 1931 in New Boston to Oscar and Eva Perry. She died on Dec. 16, 2014 in Daingerfield,
Helen was a member of First Baptist Church, charter member of the Morris County Historical Society and the Morris County Historical Museum. She was also a member of the Pandora Study Club.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, son Jerry “Corky” Jennings and sister Geneva Harlow.
Survived by her husband, J. C. Jennings of Daingerfield; sons and daughter-in-law, John and Theresa Jennings of Daingerfield, Randy Jennings of Daingerfield; granddaughters, Lindsey Jennings of Daingerfield, Lanie Jennings of Yantis, Lauren Jennings of Mansfield, Erin Jennings and Leslie Jennings both of Daingerfield; numerous nieces and nephews.
