DPD searching for aggravated robbery suspect

The Daingerfield police are searching for one suspect involved in a convenience store robbery. According to a press release issued from the Daingerfield Police Department on Dec. 31, a male, walked up to the Shell Station at 1304 Linda Drive in Daingerfield around 9:35 p.m. the night of Dec. 30.
Information released from DPD states that the suspect followed the clerk from the dumpster as the clerk was taking trash out for the night. As the clerk walked back into the store, the suspect followed, entering the store with a black semi-automatic handgun drawn. The gunman was then grabbed by the clerk as they approached thecounter. The clerk attempted to take the gun and began wrestling with the suspect. The suspect then struck the clerk with the pistol several times causing injuries. The suspect was in the store for approximately five minutes before leaving and running North beside the Shell Station.
