HSISD makes the grade on TEA report cards

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) recently released the 2013-2014 School Report Cards (SRC) for schools in Texas. All three of Hughes Springs Independent School Districts campuses received a Met Standard Accountability Rating. State accountability ratings are based on four performance indexes: Student Achievement, Student Progress, Closing Performance Gaps and Postsecondary Readiness.
Campuses that receive a rating of Met Standard are also eligible for seven distinction designations that include: Academic Achievement in Reading and ELA, Academic Achievement in Science, Academic Achievment in Mathematics, Academic Achievement in Social Studies, Top 25% Student Progress and Top 25% Closing Performance Gaps and Postsecondary Readiness.
Hughes Springs Elementary recieved a Top 25% Closing Performance Gaps designation, while the Hughes Springs Junior High received three designations in Mathematics, Social Studies and Top 25% Closing Performance Gaps.
