Lady Mustangs win first place

Don’t call Audrey Smith a 97-pound weakling. Smith earned a first place finish at the Ore City Invitational Powerlifting Meet Jan. 17. Smith lifted a combined 450 pounds: 195 pounds in squat, 70 in bench press and 185 pounds in dead lift. Smith is ranked number one in the region by the Texas High School Women’s Powerlifting Association. Savanna Wright took gold in the 123-pound class. She lifted a 495-combined weight. This was broken down into 185 in squat, 105 in bench press and 205 in dead lift.
