The Northeast Texas Community College Eagles baseball team kicked off its spring season last Friday with two wins against Cedar Valley Community College. The Eagles started the season off on the right foot with a 2-0 shutout. Brandon Colbert, of Pittsburg, got the win. “Brandon dominated from the first inning. He was keeping the batters off balance and was consistently hitting 92- 93 mph with his fastball. The Eagles unleashed their bats on Cedar Valley in the Second game, jumping out to a seven-run lead before the opponents were able to put any runs on the board. The Eagles put away game two of the doubleheader 11-3.
