Zellner Ann Smith, 78, wife of the late Glynn Wilson Gray, of Omaha, Tx. passed away at Titus Regional Medical Center in Mt. Pleasant on Jan. 30, 2015. In accordance with her wishes, her remains were donated to science. A Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date.
She was born Sept. 18, 1936 to Sollie Birl and Callie Zellner Page Smith in Atlanta, Ga. She was the youngest of eight children.
She was a former Girl Scout Leader, loving babysitter to many children, Past Worthy Matron of the Omaha Eastern Star Chapter 997 and member of the Rocky Point Congregational Methodist Church where she served as secretary/ treasurer. She will also be remembered for the beautiful wedding cakes that she made.
She is survived by a sister, Mary Odom Williams of Forest Park, Ga.; son and daughter in-law Jimmie and Jackie Gray or New Knoxville, Ohio; daughter Glenda Shew of Omaha; daughter and son in-law Sherri and Jack Kelley of Redwater and an adopted daughter by love and son in-law Vickie and Jerry Dennis of Carthage. Eight grandchildren (four adopted by love), six great grandchildren (two adopted by love), a host of family and friends also survive. In lieu of usual remembrances, the family requests donations be made to achurch or charity of their choice or the Willed Body Program, UT Southwestern Medical Center, Development Office, PO Box 910888, Dallas, Tx. 75390- 0888.
