The TOUGH Stuff

How many times have we held hands, cried together, and spoken soft words? How many times have we waited, prayed, and gently urged each other along? Sometimes the best encouragement is a word that sounds more like this: “Stop whining and get with it!” That’s not my nature and it probably isn’t yours. However, because we shy away from the locker room mentality in everyday life, we tend to make God’s words to us always soft and tender. Reality is, many times they are not. Many times the words of Peter echo in my mind, “conduct yourselves with fear…God ransomed you with the blood of His Son…quit playing around!”
