The Hughes Springs library is offering a free service to would-be gardeners. The Library is partnering with Cass County Extension and 4-H to offer patrons the opportunity to check out free seed packets for planting.
Titled “From Dirt to Dinner,” the program allows patrons to check out six packets of heirloom seeds, complete with planting instructions. According to librarian Jean Austin, there is no charge for the seeds, all they ask is that participants bring seeds from their plans to replenish the supply.
