Area churches, citizens participate in National Day of Prayer

Thursday, April 7, was designated as the National Day of Prayer. Communities all across America gathered together to pray and meditate. The National Day of Prayer got its start in 1952, when Public Law 82-324 was passed. This law stated that the President would set aside an appropriate day, other than Sunday, as a National Day of Prayer.
