Dovie Carole “Gimme” Davis was born August 1, 1945 in Gilmer, Texas and passed away June 14, 2015 at
her home. Carole was a member of First Baptist Church in Daingerfield, a member of Daingerfield High School
Class of 1963, founding member of the Daingerfield Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, Daughters of the Republic
of Texas, United Daughters of the Confederacy, Eastern Star, and Twentieth Century Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny Finley and Thelma Finley Parker and step-father M. R.
Parker; and a sister Venita Baker.
