Black named Player of the Week

High school athletes have
to maintain a delicate balance
of performance in the
classroom and excellence
on the court. MeMe Black,
of the Daingerfield Lady
Tigers, seems to be juggling
that balance wonderfully.
Along with being a superior
student, Black, a senior,
has turned in the most prolific
performance of any
area athlete this year. On
Friday, Dec. 11, Black
scored 57 points for the
Lady Tigers as they
defeated Waskom.
