February 3 Open House and Ribbon Cutting
There will be an Open House and Ribbon Cutting at Doug Reeder Law Firm, located on Highway 259 in Daingerfield from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Ribbon Cutting will take place at 12 p.m., and the Open House will be Come and Go, with refreshments served.
February 6, 13 Baseball and Softball Registration
Hughes Springs Baseball and Softball registration will be held Feb. 6 and 13 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Hughes Springs High School old basketball gym. Please contact Blu Lowery at 903-452-6260 for more information.
February 6, 13, 20 Baseball and Softball Sign-ups
Daingerfield-Lone Star Dixie Youth Baseball & ASA Softball signups will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Daingerfield Country Club in Daingerfield on the following Saturdays: Feb. 6, 13 and 20. Work days at Irvin Park will be held on the same dates and times.
February 6 Ladies Self Defense Seminar
The Killyon School of Isshin Ryu will be hosting a Ladies Self Defense Seminar at 1 p.m. The seminar will be held at the West Elementary Gym in Daingerfield. The seminar will be for all women, ages 12 and up. Contact Sensei Paula Killyon at 903-736-6616 for more information.
February 6 Father-Daughter Dance
The Eighth Annual Father-Daughter Valentine Dance will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Feb. 6 at the Legacy, and Event Center. Tickets will be available soon at the library, City Hall, Med Shop, and the school offices. Pictures, refreshments, and a DJ will be provided.
February 7 Outreach Dinner

February 9 Cass County Genealogical Society Meeting
The Cass County Genealogical Society will hold its monthly meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 9. D. J. Carroll will tell about her Navajo Heritage and the many contributions of the Navajo Nation to the history of the South Western United States. The meeting will start at 6:30 pm and will be held in the Fellowship Hall of the First United Methodist Church of Queen City at Marietta and Fourth Streets. The Business & Professional Women’s Club and the Daingerfield Chamber of Commerce will host the Morris County Political Forum on Feb. 11 at 6:30 p.m. The event will be held at the Morris County Courthouse Annex. February 12 Comedian Tammy Whitehurst
Comedian Tammy Whitehurst will be coming to the Christian Life Center of Hughes Springs First Baptist Church on Feb. 12, sponsored by the Sisterhood of FBC Hughes Springs. The event will be open to the public, and admission will be free. All are welcome (men, women, couples, and youth). A meal will be served, and childcare will be provided.
February 17 The Secrets Codes of the Underground Railroad
The Pleasant Hill Quilting Club presents “The Secrets Codes of the Underground Railroad,” on Feb. 17 at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. The event will be held at the Legacy an Event Center, and will be free of charge. The public is invited to attend. For additional information, call 903-639-1095.

February 27 Chamber Banquet
The Daingerfield Chamber of Commerce will host their annual Awards Banquet on Feb. 27 at 6:30 p.m. There will be a Patriotic theme, and the event will be held at the Daingerfield High School cafeteria. Tickets will be available at the Chamber office, the North East Texas Credit Union, or any chamber director.
March 16, 18, and 19 Art and Photography Show
The Third Annual Art and Photography Show, presented by the Legacy, an Event Center, will be held in March. Art delivery and registration will be Wednesday, March 16, from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. The exhibit will then be March 18 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., and March 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Awards will be presented at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday, March 19. March 26 Easter Egg Hunt
The Daingerfield Chamber of Commerce will host their annual Easter Egg Hunt at Daingerfield State Park beginning at 10 a.m.
