It's time for a lot of Americans to make a decision

Ok, let me start off by saying: No, I don’t mean a decision on who you are planning on voting on for president, but it does have something to do with your voting patterns. I’m talking about making a decision as to what you truly believe in. Nothing is more frustrating than seeing folks who vote completely opposite of their beliefs. And yes, I mean everywhere in the U.S., even right here in good ol’ Morris County. So everyone put on your big boy and big girl pants cause some of you may get offended before this is over. So let’s begin.

Guns: If you own firearms and you vote democrat you really need to reexamine your thought process. Liberals (i.e. the democrat party) have been anti gun ever since I can remember. They have never done anything to support gun owners and they do everything in their power to restrict the second amendment rights of our citizens. So why would you support anyone who votes to take away your freedoms?

Next on the list is Big Oil. If any of you work in or have family or friends who work in ANY business that is dependent on the oil and gas industry, why would you vote democrat? Democrats despise the oil and gas industry, always have, and always will. Many of our citizens right here depend on the oil and gas industry for their livelihood. They don’t need politicians who vote against their industry at every turn. For years there has been an old adage that democrats support labor. I’ll tell you what supports labor. Orders for oilfield pipe is what supports labor in East Texas.

Religion: Ok, now we are fixing to hit a nerve, I’m sure. Whether you like to believe it or not liberals are and have been anti religion for decades. When was the last time you heard of a republican politician supporting banning a religious expression, or plaque, or monument? That’s right, you never heard of that. How soon people forget that the democrat party actually denounced religion at their convention a few years ago. Liberals and democrats have been anti religious for many years. Despite what anyone tells you, we are a Christian nation. The current administration has tried its best to tell Christians they have to curb their religious expression while at the same time encouraging and promoting the Muslim faith. How many of you are aware of why we no longer have a space program? President Obama changed NASA’s main purpose to Muslim outreach soon after taking office. Gee, I guess most of you missed that, huh? So once again I have to ask, why would you vote for anyone who works to restrict your religious freedoms?

Abortion: There is no topic that is more clearly defined politically than abortion. Republicans oppose it, democrats support it. How many of you know who Margaret Sanger is? She is the woman who started Planned Parenthood years ago. Do any of you know why she started Planned Parenthood? If you don’t, I encourage you to Google it, especially if you are a black American. Funny how the democrat party never tells people what their darling Margaret Sanger said about blacks in our country. It’s disgraceful. So go ahead Google it and read Ms. Sanger’s quotes, if you do you will never vote democrat again. So in conclusion, if you believe in the right to life why would you vote democrat?

The Economy: The liberal and socialist policies of the current administration are the reason for the sluggish economy. Bashing and taxing businesses has never produced anything but job losses and higher prices. I recently read a great quote by retired basketball star Charles Barkley who said; “Poor people have been voting democrat for the last 50 years and they are still poor”. Why that doesn’t seem to register in the minds of more people is beyond comprehension. Liberals have preyed on the poor for decades promising them everything under the sun for their votes. Then after the election is over they drop them like a hot rock until the next election. Let’s look at the facts: democrats love raising taxes and increasing spending, republicans love cutting taxes and reducing spending. It’s not rocket science, folks.

Diversity: Democrats are always screaming that republicans don’t support diversity in politics. Let’s take a look at the current field of candidates for president. The republicans have a wide field of candidates that includes white, black, female, and Hispanic candidates. The democrats have two choices, and old white guy who is a socialist and an old white gal who denies she is a socialist and lies through her teeth. Oh, and she allows American heroes to be killed. So which party is more diverse?

Ok let’s summarize what has been covered here. If you are a second amendment supporter who owns firearms, are in the Energy business, if you are Christian, are anti abortion, or you just want to keep more of your hard earned money and what’s left of your freedoms, start doing some research before you blindly pull the lever for some candidate that has no interest in what you believe in. Trust me there are a lot of folks out there that do just that. That is why we are in the current mess we are in. Google is a wonderful way to learn the truth but you have to actually use it rather than listening to tired old talking points from politicians that care nothing about you or your beliefs.
