The Lady Tigers have dropped to 1-3 in District 16-AAA softball action, after falling to the Lady Brahmas from Paul Pewitt, 5-1, on March 22. The Tigers are 9-7 overall on the season.

Pitcher Camryn Byrd held the Brahmas scoreless the first two innings, before being tagged forthree runs in the third inning. Byrd struck out nine and walked only two in seven innings of work for the Tigers. Byrd allowed five runs, only two of which were earned, on four hits to the Brahmas. The Lady Tigers committed five errors in the game.

Byrd supported herself at the plate, as well, going two for three with a double while scoring the lone Daingerfield run. Ashlyn Fomby, Meme Black, and Asha Buford all had hits for the Lady Tigers. Black was credited with the RBI which scored Byrd.

The Lady Tigers traveled to Chapel Hill on Friday for a Good Friday matchup with the Lady Red Devils. As of press time, the outcome of that game was unkown.
