Linden man arrested for possession

On March 30, Daingerfield Police Chief Tracey Climer and Officer Payden Cannaday stopped on Jenkins Street and started questioning a subject in regards to a recent assault report. During this questioning it was determined that the subject, Markeno Royal, 30 Year old from Linden was in Possession of marijuana and cocaine. Royal was arrested for Possession of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 over 4 grams but under 200 grams Felony Second Degree and Possession of Marijuana under two ounces Class B Misdemeanor.

Second Degree Felonies are punishable by 2 to 20 years in prison and a maximum fine of $10,000. Class B Misdemeanors are punishable by up to 180 days (6 months) in the county jail and a maximum fine of $2,000.
