Daingerfield Calculator Applications Team took home the gold at the Regional

TheDaingerfield Calculator Applications Team took home the gold at the Regional UIL 3A Academic Meet held at Tyler Junior College on April 23rd. The team was led by seniors Karter Ford, Cross Allen and Cassidy Watkins who placed first, second and seventh respectively. The calculating Tigers breezed to a score of 704 that was 12 questions ahead of second place Callisburg. Freshman Zach Gilmore rounds out the team and improved his score by five questions from the District competition. Daingerfield will now advance to the State UIL Competition that will be held at the University of Texas campus in Austin on May 25th. This will be the Daingerfield Calculator Team's fifth trip in a row to Austin. INthe last four years, the Tigers have won two Team State Championships and were runner up the other two years. In Austin, the Tigers will face the other three Regional Champions, Sabine, Goliad, Jim Ned in Tuscola along with Callisburg again who will advance as the Wild Card Team.
