Driver’s License office to have new office hours

Morris County Judge Lynda Munkres met with representatives of the Texas Department of Public Safety Wednesday, April 27, to discuss changes in the days of operation of the DPS - Driver’s License office at the Morris County Courthouse. State funding is not sufficient to staff the office five days a week.

Beginning May 17 the office will be open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week…closed Monday and Friday. It is important and more convenient for Morris County citizens to utilize our local driver’s license office. Having a regular schedule will make it easier to do so.

Driver’s license office hours are posted on the door and on the Morris County website at www.co.morris.tx.us. More information can be obtained by calling the Daingerfield office at 903- 645-2363 or the Mt. Pleasant office at 903-575- 5383.
