The Transgender bathroom battle has begun

OMG, I don’t know where to start here. This controversy has really hit a nerve not just with me but with millions of parents across the nation. What is this country turning into? Have we really lost our way so bad that we just give up on our basic moral values? Apparently so it seems. A few weeks ago the Fort Worth ISD school superintendent over stepped his bounds by instituting a transgender bathroom rule basically allowing students to use the bathroom of their choice. Naturally parents were outraged and rightly so. Lt. Governor Dan Patrick asked the superintendent to resign but he refused. Hopefully the school board in Fort Worth ISD can overrule him or terminate his contract.

But the ultimate shot across the bow came last week. The president of the United States decided he could make decisions for every school district in the nation by telling every school district in the nation that they must allow students to use which ever bathroom they please according to their gender identity at the moment. Naturally this started a fire storm of opinions from parents and lawmakers across the country. The majority of those opinions were that the president had once again overstepped his authority. Of course overstepping his authority seems to be a common occurrence in his administration.

So let’s examine just what the concept of “Identity” means. If I decided to identify myself a brain surgeon, would I be allowed to perform brain surgery on anyone I wanted? Of course not. If I wanted to identify myself as a 4 star general could I run the Pentagon? Of course not. Just because someone identifies themselves as something does not authorize or give them a right to impose themselves on another group or violate their privacy. The one guaranteed thing that does identify one’s gender is your DNA. No matter what you do to your appearance, or your plumbing, your DNA does not change. Caitlyn Jenner identifies him/herself as a woman but a simple DNA test says otherwise.

The term “Transgender” is defined as noting or relating to a person whose gender identity does not correspond to that person’s biological sex assigned at birth. Now using that definition lets relate that to the identity examples I gave above. Until I go through medical school and get my license to be a brain surgeon I cannot and would not be allowed to perform brain surgery. And until I went through 20+ years of military training and experience I would not be allowed or eligible to become a general and run the pentagon. So until someone actually has their plumbing fixtures altered to match the gender of their choice why should they be allowed in the restroom of another gender? But even then their DNA is what dictates their true gender identity. You can bet that this issue will end up in the Supreme Court. Until then I hope parents and grandparents across this country will stand up and say enough is enough. Political correctness has been destroying this country for more than 30 years. But now it has reached a new record level of ridiculousness with this latest attempt at destroying what is left of our moral compass.

Government interference in our lives has long been an annoyance but now it has become a danger to our very existence. The Bible says no man knows the day or the hour of Jesus’ return. But with the moral decay that we are experiencing in this country, now would be a good time.
