Dental office heavily damaged by flames

Mustang Family Dental was heavily damaged by a noontime fire on Oct. 13.

The office, which only had two people scheduled to work on Thursday, was empty, as both employees were on lunch break when they received word that the office was on fire.

Fire crews from Hughes Springs were assisted by the Daingerfield Fire Department and members of the Lone Star Fire Department. The firefighting efforts took several hours to ensure the flames were extinguished.

Although it is believed the fire may have started in the sterilization room, the cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
