Kennedy commits to A&M-Commerce

Marisol Kennedy, a sophomore at Hughes Springs Highs School, has verbally committed to play softball for Texas A&M-Commerce upon her 2019 graduation from Hughes Springs.

Since she was eight years old, Kennedy has played travel ball for Rick Wilson. She currently plays with the Firecrackers DFW 16U Gold team, coached by Wilson and Jesse Kennedy. The Firecrackers competed at Nationals in Panama City, FL this past summer, and went undefeated to win the championship.

Kennedy, in her first year at Hughes Springs, was named Newcomer of the Year last season as a freshman at Pittsburg High School. Kennedy is the daughter of Jesse and Susanna Kennedy, and plans to major in Kinesiology
