Daingerfield team wins tournament

The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation held its annual Golf Classic October 24 at Princedale Country Club in Pittsburg. Twelve teams participated in the sixman scramble, raising more than $8,000 to support students participating in the NTCC Work Scholarship Program.

Pilgrim’s was Platinum sponsor for the event. Gold sponsors included Bowie-Cass Electric Cooperative, Cypress Bank, Daingerfield Country Club, Guaranty Bank and Trust and Luminant. Silver sponsors were American National Bank, Priefert, Texas Heritage National Bank, Wealth Planning Advisors, Inc. and Wilf and Henderson, P.C.

The Daingerfield Country Club team took first place, shooting 20 under. The winning team consisted of Keith Strickland, Casey Cox, Jason Cox, Mike Cox, Bobby Strickland, and Mitch Cox.
