Community Pep Rally

The community is invited to a pep rally for the District

Champion Daingerfield Tigers on Thursday, Nov. 10 at

Mickey Mayne Tiger Stadium. The pep rally will begin at 5:30

p.m. Come support the team, cheerleaders, and band prior to

the Nov. 11 Bi-District game against Winona.

November 11

“Honoring All Who Served” Veteran’s Day Program

You are invited to a Veterans’ Day program presented by the

Daingerfield-Lone Star ISD on Friday, Nov. 11, at 9:30 a.m. in

the Daingerfield High School Auditorium. You are also

invited to stay for a luncheon provided in your honor at the

Daingerfield High School Gym which will begin at 11:00 a.m.

November 12

“Taste of Marietta” Fundraiser

The Marietta Volunteer Fire Department will host their

annual benefit on Nov. 12, at Oakridge Baptist Church

Fellowship Hall. The event will be from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30

p.m. and is sponsored by the Auxiliary of the department.

This will be on donations only, and all proceeds will benefit

Senior Citizen Fall Festival

Attention senior citizens! You are cordially invited to join

Fellowship Baptist Church on Nov. 12 at 5 p.m. for their

Senior Citizens Fall Festival. There will be beans, potatoes,

soups, and cornbread to go along with gospel singing and

door prizes. There will also be a cake and prize walk. For more

On Sunday, Nov. 13, the Bible Baptist Church in Hughes

Springs will be celebrating 61 years of God’s faithfulness and

the faithful ministry of so many people throughout the years.

Special musical guests The Crosspoint String Band will be

performing some sweet Bluegrass Gospel music, and bringing

the message. We will enjoy a Carry-In Dinner following the

Pastoral Anniversary

Love Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Hughes Springs

will their pastor, Rev. Michael Darden, and his wife on their

8th anniversary on Nov. 13 at 3 p.m. Speaker will be Rev. F.

Combs of Gilmer and his congregation. All pastors, ministers,

choirs, soloists, family and friends are invited. Dinner will be

served.

Pastoral Anniversary

New Birth Baptist Church of Daingerfield invites everyone

to help celebrate Pastor Mondrell Palmer’s first anniversary

with the church on Sunday, Nov. 13 at 3 p.m. The celebration

will be held at the Morris County Annex Building.

November 13, 14

Revival

Fellowship Baptist Church, located at 1009 Broadnax in

Daingerfield, will host revival services on Nov. 13 and 14 with

Bro. Daniel Bramlett speaking. Sunday service times are 11

a.m. and 6 p.m., and services Monday will be at 7 p.m.

Bee Keeper’s Meeting

The Caddo Trace Beekeepers Association will meet

Monday, Nov. 14th at the Agri Life Building in Mount

Pleasant. The program will be about Products of the Hive.

Question and answer session starts at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting

Book signing

The Daingerfield Public Library will host a book signing

from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 18 with author Brenda

Smith Hancock. Hancock is promoting her new book, Talent,

Luck, Courage: Hogan’s Heroes’ Robert Clary & His sister

Nicole Holland, Their World War II Survival & Impact on the

Second Generation.

Introductory Beekeeper class

Interested in becoming a Beekeeper? The Caddo Trace

Beekeepers Association will hold a free introductory class on

Saturday, Nov. 19th at the Agri Life Building in Mount

Pleasant. Learn if beekeeping is for you, costs, and equipment

options. Meet experienced beekeepers and have your beekeeping

questions answered from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Family and Friends Day

Hughes Chapel Missionary Baptist Church will host their

Friends and Family Celebration on Nov. 20, at 3 p.m. The

event will be held at the Traylor High Community Center

located on Pine Street in Hughes Springs. Pastor Michael

Darden will be the guest speaker, along with Love Chapel

Baptist Church, of Hughes Springs. All area pastors, churches,

and soloists are invited.

Pastoral Anniversary

New Hope Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate their

pastor and his wife with an 18th Anniversary Service on Nov.

20, at 3 p.m. Special guest speaker will Pastor Charles Faulks

and Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Tyler.

November 21

12th Annual “Holiday on First Street”

Hughes Springs Shopping Extravaganza and Cork & Fork

event, 5-9 PM. Featuring local merchants, late business hours,

craft and vendor booths, food samples, wine tastings, raffle

prizes and entertainment by local carolers. Wine Tasting Arm

Bands can be purchased at The Legacy Event Center for $5—

purchase includes a wine glass and wine bag.

Cookbook Sale

Veal Switch H.O.P.E. Ladies Ministry is offering cookbooks

for sale. The cookbooks were compiled by friends and family

of the church, and feature over 500 recipes, offering something

for everyone. For more information, contact Kim Wallace at

903-645-4046. Cookbooks may be purchased at Wallace

Insurance Agency, Robin’s Beauty Shop, and The Bee office.

Breakfast with Rudolph

Join the Daingerfield Public Library as the once again host

“Breakfast with Rudolph” on Dec. 3 from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.

Children can visit with Rudolph and enjoy a light breakfast.

Parents may bring cameras to take photos of your child with

December 5

Christmas Parade and Concert in the Park

Everyone is invited to the Daingerfield City Park beginning

at 5 p.m. on Dec. 5 for the Annual Concert in the Park and

Christmas Parade. The parade will begin at 5:#0 p.m., and the

concert will follow immediately after. There will be cash prizes

for float. Contact the Daingerfield Chamber of Commerce for

more information.
