Karate students compete in Shreveport

Students from the Killyon School of Isshin Ryu competed in the Deep South Martial Arts Championships in Shreveport on Nov. 5.

The students brought home six first place trophies, along with eight second place, four third, and four fourth place trophies. Many students also brought home medals for competing. Competing in the tournament were Steven Smith, Shane Burnaman, Tyson Hughes, Eli Heard, Scott O’Dell, Rustin Crocker, Joshua Whitaker, David O’Dell, Theresa Henderson, Lisa O’Dell, Celeste O’Dell, and Ian O’Dell.

The students are instructed by Sensei Paula Killyon.
