Lady Tigers fall to Tatum

Both Daingerfield Lady Tiger basketball teams fell to Tatum at home on Tuesday, Nov. 15.

The junior varsity lost, 31-24. TaQuasia Latchison was the high scorer for the Lady Tigers, score 10 of the Tigers’ points. She was followed by Jahkayla Doddy and Jaime Nix, both with five, and Gekayla Alexander with four points.

The varsity squad was only able to manage 20 points against the Lady Eagles, losing 65-20. High scorer was Kahleyia Johnson, who had five points to go with four rebounds. Jasmine Tatum, Kiara Robinson, and Makayla Robinson all had three points for the home team. Montrevia Durham, Tanacia Williams, and Mikayla Roberson aeach added two points for the Lady Tigers. Durham added two steals and six rebounds in the effort. The loss moved the Lady Tigers to 1-2 on the young season.

The varsity competed in the New Diana tournament on Nov. 17-19. Both teams were home against Jefferson on Nov. 22, and the junior varsity will participate in the Big Sandy tournament on Dec. 1-3.
