December 1, 2, 3, 4 A Christmas Carol

The Community Theatre of East Texas will be presenting “A Christmas Carol,” written by Charles Dickens, on Dec. 1, 2, 3, and 4. December 3 Breakfast with Rudolph

Join the Daingerfield Public Library as they once again host “Breakfast with Rudolph” on Dec. 3 from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Children can visit with Rudolph and enjoy a light breakfast. Parents may bring cameras to take photos of your child with Rudolph. For more information, contact the Library at 903-645-2823.

December 3 Omaha Christmas Parade

The Omaha Christmas Parade, “Peace on Earth,” will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3. Line up will begin at 3 p.m. Contact Scott Brock at 903-884-2939 for more information.

December 4 Book Signing

The Hughes Springs Library will be hosting a book signing with Gary L. Pinkerton on Dec. 4 at 2 p.m. Pinkerton’s book, Trammel’s Trace, will be available for purchase.

December 5 Christmas Parade and Concert in the Park

Everyone is invited to the Daingerfield City Park beginning at 5 p.m. on Dec. 5 for the Annual Concert in the Park and Christmas Parade. The parade will begin at 5:30 p.m., and the concert will follow immediately after. Contact the Daingerfield Chamber of Commerce for more information.

December 10 Breakfast with Santa The Hughes Springs Chamber will host Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, Dec. 10 at 9 p.m., at the First Baptist Church Christian Life Center. December 10 Christmas Parade

The Hughes Springs Christmas Parade, “The Magic of Christmas,“ will be held at 4 p.m. on Dec. 10. Entry forms can be found online or at City Hall. Contact LouAnn Hopkins at 903-767-7660 for more information.

December 11 Family and Friends Day

Pine Bluff Missionary Baptist Church, located on Highway 250 between Hughes Springs and Marietta, will celebrate Family and Friend Day on Dec. 11 at 2:30 p.m. Pastor Paul A. Todd and the Faith Missionary Baptist Church from Marshall will be the special guest. The public is cordially invited to attend.

December 11 The Foto Sisters String Trio Concert

Tickets are on sale now at The Legacy Event Center, and at Hughes Springs City Hall, for this amazing performance of The Foto Sisters String Trio. Tickets are $10, and will not be sold at the door. December 12 Santa Secrets/Silver Angels Tree Deadline

The annual Santa’s Secrets/Silver Angels Tree will be at the Hughes Springs City Hall beginning Nov. 21. All gifts must be returned to City Hall by Dec. 12. Help provide gifts for those less fortunate.

December 16-18 Daingerfield Christmas Lighting Contest

The Daingerfield Chamber of Commerce will be hosting their Christmas Lighting Contest. Decorations and lights need to be up by Dec. 16. Judges will be roaming the streets between Dec. 16 and 18. This is limited to inside Daingerfield city limits, unless the Chamber is notified. Trophies will be awarded for: Best Business, Best Area, Best House, and Best Door.

December 17 Santa visits Avinger

Santa comes to Avinger Bring your little ones and your camera to #7 Main Street in Avinger to visit Santa from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
