Mustangs bring in All-District honors

Multiple members of the Hughes Springs Lady Mustang volleyball have earned district honors from the coaches in district.

Sophomore Zoe Lanier was named to the First Team. Junior Cypress Wright earned Second Team accolades. Multiple other Lady Mustangs joined those two with honorable mention nods. Those include senior Laken Smith, juniors Peyton Blythe, Aliyah Crowder, Kensley Echols, Charlie Reeves, Kennedi Northam, and Haylee Wilson. Sophomore Pearl Perry rounded out the Mustang’s honorable mention selections.

Possibly more impressive than the number of Lady Mustangs honored with All-District selections, however, is the number of ladies the Mustangs saw named to the Academic All-District team. These ladies not only got their work done on the court, but in the classroom, as well.

The Lady Mustangs being honored with Academic All-District selection include Peyton Blythe, Aliyah Crowder, Zoe Lanier, Kennedi Northam, Pearl Perry, Charlie Reeves, Laken Smith, Haylee Wilson, and Cypress Wright.
