Junior high boys sweep Pewitt

The Daingerfield Junior
boy’s teams played the
unwelcomed guest
against Paul Pewitt Junior
High Brahmas on Jan. 5.
All four Daingerfield
squads won, giving
Daingerfield the district
sweep.
The seventh grade “B”
team won by a score of
11-9. Top scorers for the
Tigers were Tristen
Sadbury, with six points,
Son Son Soeung and
Jaden Kelly each added
two points, and Trae
Jones added a point in the
win.
The seventh grade “A”
team finished with a score
of 38-11. Top scorers were
Dekevion Mountgomary,
with 13 points, and
Martez Allen with nine.
Dee Lewis and Alex
DeLaCruz each added six
for the Tigers, Drey Craig
added three points, and
Lequinetin Searcy finished
with one point.
The eighth grade “B”
team narrowly defeated
the Brahmas, 12-10. Trae
Lewis-Cobert and Flo
Sauceda each had six
points.
The eighth grade “A”
team won handily, 48-20.
Jacorian Frazier scored 15
points for the Tigers, followed
by Zaylon Jeter
with 14. D.J. Moss and
Ishmael Allen each added
six points for the Tigers,
and Braxton Jimmerson
contributed four points in
the win.
