JV Lady Tigers narrowly defeated by Redwater

The Daingerfield Lady
Tigers traveled to Redwater
on Tuesday, Jan. 10. The junior
varsity squad narrowly
missed a win, while the varsity
team suffered a more
resounding defeat.
The junior varsity team,
led by TaQuasia Latchison,
battled in the contest, ultimately
falling by one point,
20-21. Latchison scored five
points and grabbed five
rebounds for the Tigers.
Jahkayla Doddy followed
Latchison’s performance
with four points to go with
five steals, while Gekayla
Alexander added four
points, three rebounds, and
two steals in the loss. Jamie
Neal, Demontisia Hendrix,
and Jamie Nix each scored
two points, while Tori
Bennet rounded out the
scoring with one point for
the Lady Tigers.
The varsity squad had a
tougher match, falling by the
score of 17-48. Jasmine
Tatum scored six points to
go along with nine rebounds
and three steals in the loss.
Kahleyia Johnson and Kiara
Robinson both scored five
points to go with five
rebounds, with Johnson adding
three steals, as well.
Makayla Robinson added the
final points for Daingerfield,
while Montrevia Durham
grabbed five rebounds and
three steals.
