Water Fun Day
HUGHES SPRINGS – The Hughes
Springs Area Public Library will
host the Hughes Springs Volunteer
Fire Department. Firemen will talk
to children about fi re safety. Come
prepared to get wet. The event will
begin at 10:30 a.m. at the library
and refreshments are provided. All
summer library events are free of
charge.
Ice Cream in a Bag
DAINGERFIELD – The Daingerfi eld
Public Library will an “Ice Cream in
a Bag” event. Come make your own
cool summer treat. The event will
begin at 10 a.m. at the Morris County
Annex, and will be free of charge.

Naples Watermelon Festival
NAPLES -- The 79th Naples Watermelon
Festival is planned for July
28 and 29. Food, arts and crafts
vendors, music, games, parade and

Fundraising spaghetti benefit
DAINGERFIELD – There will be a
spaghetti supper fundraiser benefitting Stephen Mayfi eld. Tickets will
be $10 per person. There will also
be drawings and a silent auction.
The event will be held at Church on
the Rock located in Daingerfi eld, in
their fellowship hall. The event will
begin at 6 p.m.
AUGUST 4-6, 11-13
Singin’ in the Rain
HUGHES SPRINGS -- The Community
Theatre of East Texas will present
“Singin’ in the Rain.” Show times
on Friday and Saturday will be 7:30
p.m. and Sundays will be 2:30 p.m.
Doors will open 30 minutes prior to
each show. Tickets are on sale
now through Eventbrite.com and
will be $15 for adults and $10 children.
Tickets may also be available
at the door.
AUGUST 4-5
Clothing resale
HUGHES SPRINGS – The Hughes
Springs Public Library is hosting
their annual Clothing Resale. Everything
will be one dollar, with all proceeds
benefitting the library. The
sale will be from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Aug.
4, 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Aug 5, and during
library hours Aug 8-10.

Visitors Day
MOUNT PLEASANT – The Seventh-
Day Adventist Church is
hosting Visitors Day with a special
music program during the service.
Service will begin at 11 a.m. Lunch
will be provided after the service.
