Rogan

DAINGERFIELD -- John Harry Rogan, known by his family and friends as “Chip”, was born on February
9, 1959 in Olathe, Kansas to Harry Martin Rogan and Frances Aline Rogan. He passed away at
the young age of 58 on July 10, at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Carrollton,
Texas.
His passion for cars and his need for speed led him to Dallas, where he joined Our Gang Street Club, The Pontiac Club,
and The Corvette Club. After achieving his racing goals, he switched his focus back to carpentry, which led him to his
new-found passion of cabin building, woodworking, and tree farming. Through hard work, courage, determination,
and the drive to better himself, he made a “late life” career change. After attending radiology school, Chip received his
NCT X-ray License and launched his new career. He quickly advanced at OrthoTexas in Carrollton and was put in charge
of the Durable Medical Equipment for his location and all other OrthoTexas locations. His strong work ethic and values
will continue to be a good example to all who knew him. Chip was preceded in death by his father, Harry Martin
Rogan, and his mother, Frances Aline Griffith Rogan. Surviving family include his soulmate, wife, and best friend
Kelly Brooke Rogan; daughters Melisa Whitehead and her husband Andrew, Amanda Rogan, and Kelsey Biasatti; sons
Hunter Biasatti and his wife Jennifer, and Lucas Biasatti; grandson Hayden Henderson and soon- to-be grandson Logan
Dane Whitehead; his beloved Airedale, Dixie; brother James Rogan; and sister Kay McWilliams. Special care and
attention was given by Baylor Scott & White hospital doctors
and staff in Carrollton, Texas.
Chip’s love of the Lord, his country, his family, and his friends was evident by the way that he lived his life. He was a
remarkable example to all who were privileged to know him and he will be greatly missed.
A memorial service was held in his honor on Saturday, July 22 at First United Methodist Church in Daingerfield,
Texas, where Chip had recently become a member. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Tree
Farm System.
