Students not only ones headed back to school

DAINGERFIELD – Students are not the only ones who recently spent time preparing to return to the classroom. Teachers around the area, including Daingerfield-Lone Star ISD, spent last week prepping classrooms and lesson plans in anticipation of the 2017-2018 school year.

Teachers in D-LS ISD spent Aug. 14-15 on their campuses, prepping classrooms for students to return on Aug. 21. On Aug. 16, teachers, staff, faculty, and administration gathered at the high school cafeteria for their annual Teacher Breakfast, sponsored by Texas Heritage National Bank.

Teachers from all campuses and departments enjoyed a breakfast of eggs, sausage, bacon, and biscuits cooked and served by the DHS cafeteria staff.
