DAINGERFIELD – The Daingerfield State Park recently held a back to school bash on Aug. 19. Park goers had the opportunity to gain free admittance to the park simply by donating back to school items.

The park began their festivities with a ranger-led hike around the lake. Visitors could then participate in a Paddleboarding 101 class, where they learned to use the park’s new paddleboards. Visitors could also take part in an “Art in the Park” class later in the day. And, by helping local schools, they could do it all free of charge.
