Freshmen Lady Tigers take second in Pewitt Tournament

OMAHA – The Daingerfield Lady Tigers freshmen volleyball team competed in the Lady Brahma Invitational Tournament on Sept. 16.

The Lady Tigers won two of three to take second place in the tournament. In the Lady Tigers’ first match of the day, they squared off against New Boston, winning in straight sets, 25-15 and 25-16.

Their second match pitted them against the host Pewitt’s junior varsity gray team. Daingerfield lost the first set of that match, 20-25, before winning two straight for the win, 25-21 and 25-18. Daingerfield win against Pewitt propelled them into the evening’s championship game against Avery. After a long day on the court, the Lady Tigers fell just short in the championship game, 25-12 and 25-18.
