First Day Hikes
Get 2018 started off happier and healthier at Daingerfield State Park
By STAFF REPORTS
DAINGERFIELD — Get 2018 started off right with a hike through the “Cathedral of the Trees” at Daingerfield State Park. An experienced Park Ranger will take you on an awe-inspiring trek around Little Pine Lake providing insight into the natural world found in Northeast Texas. Numerous studies have shown that those who enjoy and exercise in the woods have a much happier outlook on life, more productive at work and are healthier in general. Make Daingerfield State Park your new place to exercise and experience all the wonders a natural Texas has to offer.
Because of increased demand, the park is conducting two First Day hikes! The first hike starts at 11 a.m. followed by an afternoon hike at 2 p.m. For both, meet at the historic Pavilion on Jan. 1. Please wear comfortable hiking footwear and take a bottle of water for your two and a half mile hike. Bring your family and friends.
