Brandon Garland Morris

DAINGERFIELD -- Services for Brandon Garland Morris, 33 of Daingerfield were held Dec. 30, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Daingerfield with Bro. Danny Broughton officiating. Burial followed in the Daingerfield Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home. Brandon was born on Jan. 30, 1984 in Mount Pleasant and died on Sunday, Dec. 24, 2017. He graduated from Daingerfield High School in 2002 and played baseball for the Tigers. Brandon also played baseball at Tyler Jr. College and coached little league baseball for three years in Daingerfield where he coached the All-Stars to the championship one year. Brandon was preceded in death by his father Garland F. “Gene” Morris, Jr., grandmother Lusta Bell Morris and grandparents Bill and Helen Brem, and an aunt Grace Jones. He is survived by his mother and step father, Debbie Brem Morris Meeks and husband David Meeks of Pittsburg; sister Angelia Morris of Mount Pleasant; daughter Larkyn Avery Morris of Ore City, son Layne Garland Morris of Ore City; niece Taylor Hubbs of Mount Pleasant; and nephew Rylan David Hubbs of Mount Pleasant.
