Fire destroys home on New Year’s Eve

A family began their New Year homeless after their home was destroyed on Dec. 31, 2017. The home, located on County Road 2110 in Daingerfield, was completely destroyed in the blaze, along with two vehicles.

According to a report from the Morris County Sheriff ’s Department, Deputy Ken Thomas was dispatched at 9:49 a.m. Jan. 1 to a house fire that had already burned. When Thomas arrived at 1103 County Road 2210, he met with Laquita Williams, who lived in the home.
