Board votes to extend Quarles’ contract to 2021

DAINGERFIELD – The Daingerfield- Lone Star ISD met in their regular meeting on Jan. 22. On the agenda was the annual superintendent’s appraisal and consideration of the superintendent’s contract.

During closed session, the board considered Superintendent Sandra Quarles’ annual appraisal. At that time, they also discussed the option to extend her contract. When the meeting was reconvened into open session, vice president Jerry Stoermer made the motion to extend Quarles’ contract by three years. With the following unanimous vote, Quarles will remain as superintendent of Daingerfield-Lone Star ISD to 2021.
