Tigers split double-header with Avery

The Daingerfield Tigers welcomed Avery to town on March 9 for a double header. Daingerfield fell in the early game, 12-7 before winning the nightcap, 11-3.

Daingerfield lost the lead late in a 12-7 defeat to Avery on Friday. The game was tied at seven with Avery batting in the top of the eighth when the visitors took the lead.

The Tigers lost despite having 13 hits in the game.

In the first inning, Avery got their offense started when H McClanahan singled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs.

Daingerfield evened things up at seven in the bottom of the sixth inning when Anthony Hall grounded out, scoring one run.
