Brabham receives appointment to West Point

A Hughes Springs senior has received full appointment to West Point Military Academy and was recognized for that at Hughes Springs’ Spring Awards Program on May 14. Senior Hunter Brabham signed a National Letter of Intent to play college football at West Point in December. On May 14, he was recognized for having received his full appointment to West Point Military Academy.

Receiving an appointment to the 20o-plus year old West Point is no easy feat, as applicants complete rigorous physicals and must fill out copious amounts of paperwork to even be considered. Brabham’s high school counselor put Brabham’s acceptance into perspective.
