District Baseball team loaded with Mustangs

Selections for District 14-3A honors have been announced, and multiple local athletes earned selection. Eleven members of the Hughes Springs Mustangs were joined by seven Daingerfield Tigers in the final selections.

Player of the year honors went to Hughes Springs senior Alex Bruce. The Mustangs also produced the Offensive and Defensive MVPS as well as coach of the year. Senior Bo McEntire nabbed Offensive MVP, while Riley McKinney, another senior, took Defensive MVP honors. Coach Brandon Green was chosen as coach of the year by his peers in the district.
