Lady Mustangs defeat Pilot Point, one win from state tournament

The Hughes Springs Lady Mustangs matched up with a familiar foe this past weekend in the regional semi-finals in Sulphur Springs. The Pilot Point Lady Bearcats and the Lady Mustangs met earlier this year in a tournament, and have met in the playoffs previously, as well.

This matchup pitted a Pilot Point team that was young and aggressive with many starters and players who were either freshmen or sophomores against a Hughes Springs squad that is loaded with veteran players
